Key Responsibilities:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Developer responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain existing Engineering applications utilizing a mix of front end and back end technologies.

  • Architecting and implementing new engineering applications using Amazon Web Services.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation.

  • Work with customers to define requirements and troubleshoot issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

  • Able to work fully remote.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and the engineering design process.

  • Full Stack development exposure (Django, Angular, CSS, Javascript, Etc) experience.

  • Hands on experience with front end frame works.

  • Certified in Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies.

  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD software.

  • Strong proficiency in Python.

  • Familiarity with  SCRUM & Agile project management methodologies.

  • Hands on experience with Cloud Computing, preferably Amazon Web Services.

  • Experience with GitHub, JIRA or other code management and product management software.
