Hi, I’m Pawan Keer, Engineering Lead at Moves. I’m looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who will help us continue to build our product, Moves (movesfinancial.com).    
We’re a 35-person team based in Toronto. I’m looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with a passion for front end to support the design and experience of our product, Moves. Moves is a social finance platform addressing the underserved needs of independent workers in the gig economy to contribute to their financial health. This role is fully remote and we welcome applicants from all over Canada and the USA.   
We are creating a modern digital collective and a platform of financial products. Moves customers (we call them ‘members’) will earn economic interest in the collective by consuming financial products and taking steps to improve their overall financial health - all while belonging to a growing group of their peers pursuing similar objectives. As a Full-stack Developer and member of the Engineering team, you'll be critical to the build, delivery, innovation and evolution of our core product and will have the chance to work collaboratively on a product team tasked with taking the product to the next level.

What you'll do 👇

    • Build end-to-end product features for core and strategic applications and products 
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers, sharing knowledge as they grow along with you 
    • Collaborate with product managers and product designers to build features, constantly iterating and experimenting to build a world class application 
    • Raise the bar on quality through code reviews and testing 
    • Contribute as a key member of a delivery team getting to work within all phases of the product development

What we're looking for 👀

    • 5+ years* of proven professional experience as an application developer with a front-end and back-end integration focus, building applications/software systems, preferably in a product led company
    • Development experience using Reactjs, React Native, Nodejs and Redis
    • Proficiency with writing automated tests in Jest, Enzyme
    • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude 
    • Significant experience in an iterative software development environment - Agile, Scrum
    • * internship, co-op and other academic experience counts too!

    • 45 minutes video call to discuss the opportunity and the organization with Sarah, People and Culture Lead, and Pawan, Engineering Lead 
    • 90 minutes technical interview with 3 of our Moves developers
    • 60 minutes call with an overview of the business and how the role fits in the company, with Stephanie, VP of Product, and Matt, CEO & Founder
