The Work: As a principal engineer you will work on building modular, reusable front-end components.
Partner with leads to scope large cross functional projects, determine feasibility, and together, with the lead, manage the design and implementation.
Execute end-to-end software development in an agile environment including: requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and support.
Come up with new ideas to improve our architecture and development process, get buy-in from the rest of the team, and put them into action.
Operate as a technical resource for other teams for best practices and provide advice, coaching, and education for other engineers.
Stay on top of technology and host tech talks for the team with proper points detailing how this could impact the technology organization.
Have a solutions mindset and bring about change by presenting proposals to solve problems, vs just highlighting problems.
Automate, Automate, Automate.
Minimum of eight years of software engineering experience, with at least five years on the front-end.
Demonstrable experience building world-class, consumer web application interfaces.
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components.
Strong command of web standards, HTML, CSS, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
Knowledge of modern front end tools such as React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, and Jest.
Working experience with browser APIs, and passion for optimizing front end performance.
Knowledge of client-side visualization libraries such as D3 is a bonus.
Experience with A/B testing and optimization is a plus.

Bachelor's degree or higher, in Computer Science or a related field.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Base Salary Range$ 137,000.00-219,200.00
