The Senior Marketing Data Analytics Analyst is responsible for solving advanced data requests. They work closely with cross-functional partners to extract data through relational databases or cloud platforms. This role helps safeguard Kohl’s data assets and ensures adherence to security and compliance with Kohl's and industry standards

Job Description



  • Establish the structure and oversee the development of a quality framework to ensure the delivery of high quality analyses and data solutions to stakeholders
  • Solve the advanced  technical problems and support the development and implementation of methodologies to support data modeling and ETL related best practices
  • Define and communicate development best practices, version control and deployment strategies to ensure product quality, agility and recoverability


  • Partner with the business to define functional requirements, translate data and implement solutions
  • Manage analytics projects, provide stakeholder communication and ensure objectives are met
  • Partner with Kohl’s Technology to provide best in class Marketing technology solutions
  • Oversee all Incident Management for Marketing Analytics, including escalation and root cause analysis
  • Serve as a mentor to the broader marketing business intelligence and data analytics team



  • 4+ years of experience with data warehouse technical architectures, ETL/ELT, reporting/analytic tools, and scripting
  • Advanced SQL skills and performance tuning
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in data modelling
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services and other big data technologies
  • Advanced knowledge in scripting
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. tableau)
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or technical field


  • 4+ years experience designing retail  technical solutions
  • 4+ years experience designing, leading and implementing technology projects
  • 4+ years experience in production support (i.e. ticket documentation, vendors, etc.)
  • 4+ years experience troubleshooting network infrastructure problems.
  • 2+ years in evaluating and integrating third party applications
  • Previous retail experience
