Senior Technical Product Manager -- SaaS


Job Description:


Are you looking for a truly innovative role?  Then we have the right opportunity—we are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager for SaaS applications to join us and play a leadership role!  We are currently in the process of defining and building a Greenfield suite of cloud-based products to take advantage of cloud-native technologies for delivering solutions to our customers, and we’re looking for people with those skills to join us in this effort.

As Senior Technical Product Manager for server management SaaS apps, you will be responsible for uncovering and understanding customer needs and translating them into product requirements. 

You’ll play a leadership role with the Engineering team, educating them on customer use cases and helping them evaluate the customer experience impact of alternative technical approaches. You’ll define a next-generation user experience and drive an agile roadmap that will transform the productivity of modern IT personnel in a secure manner.  You will play a leadership role in customer and field engagements, serving as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical community, changing the way servers are managed around the world.

How you’ll make your mark:

Craft and adapt a product strategy that addresses market demands and maximizes the impact of our engineering teams.

  • Define a next generation user experience and proactively identify, document, and communicate requirements to drive an agile roadmap that will transform the productivity of modern IT personnel.

  • Write detailed user stories based on prioritized technical requirements. Work closely with the development organization through design, testing, and product release to deliver features.

  • Identify market and technology trends and performing technical competitive analysis

  • Play a leadership role in customer and field engagements, serving as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical community. Work in an outbound capacity to develop collateral such as roadmaps and webinars to drive awareness and adoption

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Services, Sales, Customers, and Support.

  • Work closely with key executive stakeholders to develop product strategies and deliver on key milestones, initiatives, and outcomes.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study; Advanced degree in computer science or engineering or MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of work experience in related field.

  • Technical understanding and knowledge of SaaS applications, REST API’s, micro-services architectures, Kubernetes, and cloud delivery models.

  • Experience in defining SaaS products using Agile planning and development approaches, ideally in the IT infrastructure and AI Operations markets

  • Excel at partnering, innovating, and making things happen for complex and ambiguous projects.

  • Experience in launching and growing products in the enterprise and/or SaaS space

  • Ability and desire to be a team-player, ready to work hard, and to win the market

  • Able to manage cross-functional teams through influence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
