As part of the Digital Technologies Software Development team, you'll help drive digital transformation by contributing to our growing ADO initiative. This initiative is a key component to the enablement of our portfolio of aerospace digital products.  In the ADO Engineer role, you will couple your experience in DevOps, automation, CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure, development and monitoring to drive the successful deployment of infrastructure and applications using ADO. Experience in MS Windows Server, IIS and Azure DevOps is required.  A solid understanding of Jenkins, Linux, automation technologies and container orchestration, AWS and other cloud technologies and Agile are also beneficial to this role.  You will report to the Associate Director of Software Engineering & Mexicali | Digital Technology.

This individual can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build, automate and enhance deployment pipelines for enterprise infrastructure and applications. 

  • Evaluate and implement extensions for use in the ADO toolchain. 

  • Evaluate and implement policies for use in the ADO environment. 

  • Support other DevOps tool sets that drive enterprise deployments.  

  • Maintain enterprise DevOps infrastructure. 

  • Build and deploy solutions in the AWS, Azure and Google cloud environments. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with enterprise DevOps teams. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with the DevOps user community. 

  • Communicate the DevOps vision to the enterprise. 

  • Provide technical guidance to the DevOps user community. 

  • Provide mentoring to junior developers. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience  

  • Strong grasp of IT security protocols, processes and best practices 

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies 

  • Version Control/Git/SVN/Bitbucket 

  • Experience with JavaScript, c#.net, python, or java languages 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with serverless technologies in cloud environments 

  • Experience with docker, kubernetes, docker swarm 

  • Understanding of Open API Specification 

  • Experience building, testing, securing, exposing and consuming API’s 

  • Experience with Node, npm, chocolatey, maven or nuget package management 

  • Experience with Angular, Vue and React frameworks 

  • Windows and Linux 

  • Experience with Json, SOAP 

  • Experience with Jenkins pipelines or AWS Codepipeline 

  • Experience with Oauth, Saml authentication 

  • MS in computer science 

  • ALM/Atlassian/Jira 

  • Messaging Tools such as MS Teams, Slack, Mattermost 

  • Experience in technical writing.
