“DevOps is not a Goal, But a never-ending process of continual improvement” – Jez Humble

Snapdocs is excited to expand our team with a DevOps Engineer tasked to build the cloud infrastructure that powers our platform. For those interested in contributing to the fault tolerant, self healing, scalable foundation that will bring an entire industry into the future - we'd love to get acquainted.

As our platform traffic expands, it is critical that we proactively build out fully automated CI/CD pipelines to handle volume as we scale.

Snapdocs DevOps plays an all encompassing role in maintaining our AWS production environments, containerization with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, creating automation, and monitoring and managing deployments. The day to day will require you to analyze, organize, and provide in-depth code reviews to improve applications dynamically and ensure the timely completion of projects. To do this, you will employ an open-source collaborative development design to broaden each significant feature, compose clear descriptions and PR messages. Your time will be focused on collaborating with team members to improve our engineers’ deployment tooling, application performance, security, and stability. Additionally, you will lend a hand to debug production issues across services as well as participating in on-call rotations.

Today our team is working in Ruby on Rails, React, Postgres, GO, AWS, Docker, Terraform & Kubernetes(Helm) to name a few but things change quickly so be comfortable learning new tools. Our interview process is tech agnostic. When you join, we give you ample time to onboard and ramp at your pace with guidance from your team.

Over the past 2+ years, you have gained in-depth knowledge of Linux systems administration in a production environment. Today, your interests are in the cloud and you have working experience with modern cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure. You strive to automate everything, working with server automation tools like Terraform. Baseline knowledge of Kubernetes(Helm) is preferred but not required.

You have a bias toward testing and know the value of clean code being pushed to production. Open Source is a passion of yours. You are interested in scale; ready to solve a diverse range of problems with complex distributed systems and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis). You are ready to learn by building something new that will have a tremendous impact on our industry.

This role is fully remote and will stay remote when our San Francisco and Denver offices reopen in 2022.

Colorado applicants: This role pays in a range of $110,000 - $140,000 with equity based on regularly updated Radford salary benchmarks.
